In reply to <a href="https://thefrayedapron.com/chilaquiles/#comment-593">Susan</a>.

Susan, You made some good points. Even after several rounds of editing, I agree that this recipe could be more specific. I've made chilaquiles so many times that I sometimes forget that not everyone has:) I've updated the recipe card to include the exact amount of cheese per tortilla. In a 1/2 cup over 8 tortillas, that's 1 tablespoon per tortilla. I've called for 4 eggs total. That's 1 egg, 2 tortillas, and 2 tablespoons of cheese per serving plate. In case you don't know, this recipe is versatile and you won't negatively impact the outcome if you stray a bit from these proportions. Feel free to increase the cheese or eggs as you like.

To add to my last comment regarding the cheese ... If this dish is to be put togeher as one big dish to serve and then be dishes out, then if I put only one handful of cheese, what do I do with the rest of the cheese?

The printed instructions a very incomplete! Are the tortillas to be divided onto 4 plates since there are 4 servings? The cheese that is sprinkled over says a handful, does that handful equal 1/4 of the half cup of cheese? If so, then say to top each plate with 1/4 of the cheese. What do I do with the fried eggs? Do they go on top of the tortilla chips & cheese? Or on top of all once the sauce is put on to melt the.cheese? The printed recipe needs to be absolutely complete, otherwise what is the point.
